Hei Matau W6 – Six Person Fibreglass Outrigger Canoe
The Hei Matau W6 is a 110kg fibreglass six person outrigger canoe featuring a three piece hull design. Influenced by Hawaiian hull characteristics, the canoe is manufactured in Brazil and carries a Māori name.
The three piece configuration allows the canoe to be stored in a standard home garage or packed into a 20ft shipping container. Transport can be completed using a commercial roof rack without requiring a 13 metre trailer.
With a slightly flatter hull and added rocker, the Hei Matau W6 is suited to clubs seeking responsive turning performance while maintaining six person stability for training and racing.
