Huli Handle – PAi Anti Flip – Flip Line

Description

Huli Handle – PAi Anti Flip Flip Line

The Huli Handle – PAi Anti Flip Flip Line is designed to assist outrigger canoe crews in safely and efficiently righting their canoe in the event of an unexpected capsize. Inspired by rafting flip line systems, this recovery tool provides a structured method to regain control and return to paddling.

The system is configured to function as more than a standard anti flip line. Once all paddlers are accounted for and safely positioned in the water, the line can be unclipped and deployed for recovery. The strap is positioned under the AMA and over the hull, allowing the paddler to brace against the Taumanu and apply body weight to lift the AMA and roll the canoe upright.

Once upright, the crew can re-enter the canoe and commence bailing while the line is re-secured and tensioned. The system is designed to support controlled recovery in both training and racing environments where response time and safety are critical.

Designed for outrigger canoe safety protocols, the Huli Handle – PAi Anti Flip Flip Line supports structured capsize recovery in club, development and competition settings.
